Terry O’NEILL (1938-2019)

 

Born in London in 1938, Terry O’Neill began his career in the 1960s, quickly becoming THE photographer and one of the most important witnesses of what was later called “the Swinging London”. He was then the friend of Michael Caine, David Bailey, Peter Sellers, Elton Jones …

 

In the early 70s, the photographer met Faye Dunaway who would become his wife, then began a life in Hollywood, Terry O’Neill met and photographed the greatest stars of the time.

 

He is recognized today as one of the last witnesses of a bygone era, the time when stars were truly Stars, stars were Stars and actors were Actors.

 

Experience walking with him into the trendy restaurant in New York, London or Monaco, and you’ll see half the people standing up to greet the artist.

 

In 2019, Terry O’Neill was made CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) by Queen Elisabeth II.

 

Terry passed away in London in 2019.
